The Benefits of Coworker Encouragement

According to a February 2016 study in Psychosomatic Medicine: Journal of Bio-behavioral Medicine, having coworkers support each other could actually be the cure to stress. In fact, the process of giving encouragement was found to be even more beneficial to individuals than receiving it because it shows biological changes in the brain.
Not only does encouraging one another relieve stress, but it is also linked to improved well-being and increased happiness since altruism boosts both mental and physical health. In addition, one colleague supporting another, will inspire reciprocal encouragement.
The presence of a supportive culture will ultimately result in a collaborative team that communicates efficiently as well as simply a great place to work.
