According to a survey of 19,000 employees from over 26 countries, the engagement level of employees who receive recognition is almost three times higher (76%) than the engagement level of those who do not (28%). People who feel appreciated and respected are more motivated than those who do not because they know that they are making a real difference at work.
Sincere praise also helps with forming better work relationships with employees because they will be more willing to lend recognition or help in return. Organizations which use multiple communication channels for recognition are even more likely to have better engaged employees who feel acknowledged for their hard work through such platforms.
