Offering employees the opportunity to work flexible hours or days, sometimes referred to as “flextime” is a great solution to improving work-life balance. Instead of implementing a strict 9 to 5 schedule, allow employees to choose their working hours, so long as the log the required total hours(40 hours per week, for example).
Another way to embrace flextime is by allowing employees to work when they can without requirements as long as the assigned work is accomplished. In the modern working world, the need for flexible hours is increasing. According to a recent White House report, 60% of households with children have both parents working, and over half of people caring for elderly relatives still work full-time jobs.
Flextime allows employees to accomplish work when it is suitable for them, while also maintaining a personal life.
